Miss Morgan

Posted by PicasaMiss Morgan, BJ's niece. My kids love it when we get to babysit her. Maddie thinks she is in charge of Morgan and I am in charge of Tucker. The other day at my Moms house Maddie told my Mom that when Morgan got big then Megan would have a twin sister. But she wouldn't because she only has Tuck! She really wants to have a little sister. Sorry Maddie but you will have to talk to Dad about that one.

Kids and the funny things they do. . .

Tucker loves to put shoes on. I often find him in my closet or Maddies closet trying on shoes. BJ is a little worried about it.

The other day I found all the toilet paper off the roll in Maddies bathroom. While I was in there cleaning it up I felt a little tap on my shoulder. I turned to find Tucker standing there with a big smile on his face, he reached up and kissed me on the cheek. How could I get mad at him after that?

I love to hear the things Maddie comes up with. When you ask her why she says something she responds with "Because my thinker told me." She loves to play and ride bikes with her friends. The other day she stopped what she was doing to come tell me that her heart was beeping.

Peaches

How many of you can say you canned peaches with your Father-In-Law? BJ's Dad came up to my house today and taught me how to can peaches. I have never done it before, I actually had a lot of fun doing it. The real test is to see if I can do it again by myself.

Heber

My kids hate hearing me say "Come on Mom wants to take pictures!" But I have to practice with someone. And they are so cute so it makes it easy (at least I think they are cute.) I start a photo class September 30th. I am nervous and excited.

Sweet and Sassy

Maddies two best friends London and Makenna are three months older than her. Waiting until December for her birthday is torture. This year London and Makenna had their birthday party together at Sweet and Sassys since London's birthday is on September 13th and Makenna's is on September 15th. It took Maddie about a half an hour to warm up. She wasn't sure she wanted to do this. They had the girls dress up in Princess dresses, then they did their hair and makeup. (I had a hard time getting the lighting right, so don't look to close at the pictures.)
Smile Maddie, pretend like you are having fun.
Cute hair

Maddie showing me her nails. She picked purple nail polish.

Finally having fun. By the end of the party she was having so much fun. She decidedon the way home that she wanted to do this for her fifth birthday party. Sorry Maddie but we may have to copy the idea and do it at home.

Check out this cake. Makenna's Aunt made it, she made all the little crowns by hand. They were made out of sugar so the girls could eat them.

Soccer Mom

I am a soccer Mom without the minivan. I have a granola car (a Subaru) so I guess thats okay. Its a lot of fun to watch the kids play soccer. Unfortunately Maddie takes after her Mom when it comes to sports. Although she did kick the ball a few times, which is more than I ever did.

Go Maddie!!! Kick the ball!!!
The White Tigers (I think). Thats what Maddie said they are called.
Maddie is number eight and her good friend London is number seven.

A weekend with the Staley's

We spent the weekend in Heber at the Morgan's Cabin. Everyone was there except Uncle Rob and his family (we missed you guys). I think this is the first time since BJ and I have been married that we have ever done this with his family. We had a lot of fun.

Playing games with Grandma Marilyn.

Grandma Marilyn is everyones favorite. Tucker liked sharing her Dr. Pepper. He preferred that over Moms black cherry. Grandma thought that was pretty cute. He would give her a Dr. Pepper kiss after. Probably hoping he would get some more.
While the girls went for a walk and played games, the guys went fishing. BJ is just as good at golf as he is fishing. I think he was the only one that didn't catch one! Thats OK Sweetpea - I still love you!

Aunt Michelle is sad - she thinks Tucker doesn't like her.
My husband gets confused about the number of wheels that should be touching the ground.
We found this tractor on one of our rides.

We had a lot of fun hanging out with everyone. Uncle Jon must of thought our party was a little dull and wanted to make it more exciting. At 5:00AM his parents took him to the Heber Valley Hospital. He had appendicitis and later that day had to have an appendectomy.
