Trouble Maker

Tuck loves to fill the sink up with bubbles EVERY TIME he goes into the bathroom to wash his hands. He loves showing all his tricks to his cousin Morgan. Sorry Anna! :)
Wed night Tuck split his head open playing at the neighbors house. I was busy making dinner when I heard screaming at the front door. Thinking it was just the kids fighting I took my time getting there. When I looked out the window I saw Maddie sobbing and screaming that Tuck was hurt. I took one look at the kid and panicked - he had blood all over his head and face. I hate head wounds because they always look worse than they really are. Anyway . . . I made my neighbor Kaelyn come over and look at him. She had to clean him up cuz I couldn't even look at it. Funny that I worked in a doctors office for several years and that stuff never bothered me then :). Kaelyn got him all cleaned up but we still couldn't decide if he needed stiches. We called Beth Nestman (a nurse) who lives in our neighborhood and she was kind enough to come over and help the paranoid mother out. She said he looked fine. The first thing Tucker asked for was pancakes. I should have known then that he was ok. Anyone that knows Tuck knows how much he loves his pancakes! The next morning I found out that Maddie thought Tucker was going to die. She stayed in the laundry room the whole time we cleaned Tuck up - she said she was praying for her brother. Even though they fight I guess they still like each other! Oh I guess I should tell you how he split his head open. We have a field in our back yard. The kids like to go back there to find treasures (even though they are told not to). Tuck was in the neighbors back yard when the older boys were in the field and found something. They decided to throw it over the fence into their yard and it hit Tuck on the head. I still don't know what it was that hit him. But he is doing great. Thanks Kaelyn for helping me out AGAIN! She can't ever move. A while back I had a bird my around inside my house. She had to come over and chase it out for me :) Thank goodness for great neighbors!!!

Flower Patches

I don't know what my kid does to her pants but she is always getting holes in them. I have been sewing flowers on her pants to patch them up. BJ is worried that he will come home from work and find flowers on all of his pants. You never know . . . I did paint his fingernails once while he was sleeping :)

WPPI

Just got home from Vegas. I went to WPPI with my sister Kristin.
Left my kids with their Dad and they actually survived! Probably due to my Mom and BJs cousin Staci. Tuck loves Staci - he cried and cried after she left. I survived the plane rides thanks to Heather. I don't do very well with flying. I am always afraid the plane is going to crash :)

To my surprise my husband borrowed this sign from his Mom and hung it up the night I returned. I thought it was all my Moms doing.
Welcome Home pictures from the kids

My Mom helped Tuck and Maddie make these flowers for me. Look at the flowers in the back - they are missing the wrapper. That was Tuckers doing :)

WPPI was a blast! I learned so much. Met some amazing people. Also learned that all the pictures I have taken up until now are crap! I am so excited to practice everything I have learned. I can't wait until I have those "wow" pictures! WARNING!!!! I may be calling you to see if I can borrow your kids :)
I also decided that I am very tired of being shy - it is getting old. When I told my husband that he responded with : "I am sure the bishop would let you say the prayers in sacrament meeting." Well that might be a little too fast - baby steps first :)

It FINALLY came out!

Maddie has had a loose tooth since December - she finally lost it. I was fixing her hair before school when she leaned over and spit in her hand - out came her tooth. She was so afraid to loose her tooth but after it came out she had to show it to everyone! She showed it to all the neighbors on the way to her bus stop. She stood up in front of her school class and showed them (something I would NEVER do!). That night we all went to see Tooth Fairy at the theater. The movie was surprisingly better than I had expected.

Tucks haircut

Before

And After

He acts so grown up now - maybe it is the haircut!
