Projects . . .

I was bummed that I didn't win the give away from the pleated poppy . . . So I decided to try and make my own. Don't tell Maddie I posted this picture - she thinks she looks like a dork in the hat. :)
I made this at my Mother-In-Laws Enrichment night. It is suppose to look like a 3D picture but you can't really tell from this picture. It was way fun to make . . . now I know what to give my Mom for Christmas this year!

Maddie Lou Sue

Maddie loves to listen to music and sing (she kind of reminds me of her Aunt Holli when she was little. Sorry H - but you used to drive me crazy when you would sing! :) Just teasing!). Taylor Swift - You Belong to Me is her favorite right now.

Maddie had SO much fun on the campout. She made lots of new friends while she was there. She had no idea that they just live around the corner from her.

Tuck

Waiting for the talent show to start
I thought for sure Tuck would fall in the water.
I am not sure why he looks so serious here.
Throwing rocks . . . something he is very good at

He looks like a mean little kitten in this picture.

Tucker and his cars

Tucker had so much fun playing with his cars in the dirt.
Making parking spots for all of his cars.
Sharing is so hard for Tuck - but he did it!
He made new friends at the ward campout.

Tuck

This is Tuck at our ward campout. He looked so cute, I couldn't resist taking his picture. And yes I did finally get him a cup! The kid got so dirty but he had lots of fun. Hopefully I will get more pictures of the campout posted soon.
Update on Tuck . . . He is a busy little Tyke but doesn't like to say much. He was tested for his speech a couple of weeks ago. He scored 1%! A speech therapist is going to come to our house twice a month to work with him. Plus he gets to go to a school once a week (freedom from both kids for me :)!!!)

My favorite is The Pleated Poppy!

Kindergarten Bear

Last week Maddie got to bring the Kindergarten bear home. The bear has its own backpack with toys, PJs, and a tooth brush. She took the bear to see her cousins that were visiting from Vegas. They took the bear for a ride on Grandpas golfcart and jumped on the trampoline. Maddie could hardly wait to get the bear ready for bed so she could brush his teeth. Even if it was only for pretend she told me.

All grown up

So my sleeping in days have come to an end . . .
My baby started Kindergarten today. This is in the front yard posing before school.
Walking to the bus stop.
Waiting for the bus to come.
Off she goes . . . she wasn't even sad to go.
This is Tuck . . .he sat on the front porch and cried for Maddie after she left.
Maddies response to her first day of Kindergarten . . . "It was great, I loved it!" Her favorite part was riding the bus - because she didn't have to wear a seat belt. Maddie is a good mix of her Mom and Dad. She can be shy like her Mom but other times she is very outgoing like her Dad. If it had been me that had to ride the bus by myself the first time going to school, I would have been a MESS! She did say she got lost for a minute when she got off the bus but someone helped show her where to go. And at recess she went to the wrong playground. But once again someone helped her find where she was suppose to be. When I asked her if she made any new friends today she said she forgot to ask them is they wanted to be her friend. She could hardly wait until it was time to go to bed so she could get up and do it all again. Hopefully the second day is as much fun as the first!

Lagoon

They love going to the library . . . because they know they get to play by the fountain after.

Shoe Tree

Isn't this tree cool? My sister saw it when she ran the Wasatch Back. We had to go back to Park City after the race so she could take pictures of it.
